Erasmus+ is a programme which gives an opportunity to take part in student exchanges financed by the European Union. Students of higher education institutions can either study abroad or do traineeships in different countries. During one study cycle (so either the Bachelor or the Master level), the exchange can last 2 to 12 months – within this period of time, you can benefit from the programme multiple times.
The interested person can choose the country and the university from places offered by the home university. Student mobility is supervised by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme, which in Poland is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE). The scope of the choice of destination is really wide thanks to Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Macedonia and 28 Member States of the European Union which participate in the programme.
Until the year 2014, the Erasmus+ programme functioned under different names. The aims of the current project are set out to be achieved by the end of 2020. Erasmus+ promotes cooperation and mobility in all areas of education and professional training, and it also supports sports initiatives. Benefits coming from participating in the programme are countless, starting from opportunities to study in an international environment to experiencing new cultures and lifestyles to personal development.
Erasmus+ is a wonderful adventure which allows, among other things, to gain knowledge and experience in many fields, broaden your horizons and open your mind, acquire or improve language skills, boost your chances on the labour market and above all – experience the adventure of your life.
