The middle of June is always a special time for us, as we celebrate the anniversary of our network. This year, on the 12th of June, ESN Bulgaria turned 17 years old. We decided that the best way to celebrate this milestone was by organizing a training event for our volunteers to help them develop their skills and reignite their motivation.

 

The Volunteer+ training took place on the 14th and 15th of June at the Human Resources Development Centre, with the support of our partners from the institution. Over the weekend, volunteers had the opportunity to explore different methods of using their volunteering experience as a stepping stone in their professional journeys. 

 

Alumni from the network shared their personal stories and spoke about how their time in ESN helped them secure jobs and overcome various challenges in their careers. These inspiring examples showed how volunteering can be a powerful tool for personal and professional growth.

On the 14th of June, we held three interactive sessions including information about the Erasmus opportunities, european funds and project management. In the evening, we celebrated ESN Bulgaria’s 17th birthday with a cocktail event, where current and former members of the network gathered to share memories and experiences.

 

On the 15th of June, we continued with two more engaging sessions focused on how to include our volunteering experience in our CV and professional representation. We are truly grateful to have spent such an inspiring weekend together and are looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills we gained during the Volunteer+ training in future opportunities.
